those are probably the ones I've seen. They will fit a VR6 car. They
are 5x100mm. However, it's a 16x6.5" rim. Normally one would want
something a little wider. I forget the offset, might have been 41 or
43mm which is perfect. The dealer should have all those specs in their
VW aftermarket catalog. Votex is the brand for all the VW aftermarket
stuff. A parts guy at a local dealership has them on his GTI-VR6 Look
pretty good. But personally, I would rather have something with more

I just bought some 16" 6 spoke beetle wheels and put them on my 95 GTI. They
look really cool. They REALLY fill out the wheel wells with the stock
continental tires from the beetle. I did have to roll the left rear fender
just a little but not where I thought you would have to. I had to roll it on
the front corner of the wheel well. The fronts don't rub unless the wheel is
cranked all the way to the left and then only the left front tire rubs on
the plastic liner just a little. The tires stick a lot better than the
crappy Sears tires that where on the car when I got it. I do plan on getting
tires that fit a little better once these wear out. I want tires that are
maybe a little wider but not as tall, like maybe 215/45/16 or 225/45/16?
Original tires were 205/55/16.
