Goop from around the cylinder head may not be an oil leak

No No No...that is NOT an OIL LEAK!!!...that's the stuff they put on the head
gasket when they mount the head....Some of that "stuff" sneaks out(when the
head is placed over the block)...This "stuff" now gets cooked/melts and looks
like oil coming from around the cylinder head. and YES it will run down the
engine block..I had the same thing, when my car had 1000 miles...I wiped it
off, and I have not seen it since then.
