I hate to have to continue this, but I called Collin at TT yesterday and he
said that I should probably take the chip out and send it back to him even
though they've NEVER had a problem with this chip before. My only noticable
problem with the chip, aside from the check engine light on, is that the car
feels a little rough when I start it up on a cold start. I drove it for 4.5
hours straight on Sunday from Connecticut to Maine and didn't notice any
engine problems aside from a little vibration at high speeds coming from the
snow tires. The problem is that
I don't want to pay to have to get it taken out ($40-$60!!) and, call me a
moron, but I can't seem to figure out how to do it myself even with the
directions that TT sent with the chip. Should I just not be worried about the
chip at all, or is there some URL I could visit with EXPLICIT instructions on
how to remove/install eprom chips? When I remove the plactic cowl and I see 2
nuts to remove the metal cover from the car body and what is the 68 pin
connector? I consider myself pretty technically ept, but I am simply not
familiar with computer control units. Thanks in advance to anyone who may

By the way Jason, when you start the car with a new chip, and any cold
start, let the car run through its idle speed calibration (about 30 seconds)
before touching the throttle, or the check engine light may come on.
