How to remove stock radio

Back to Radio, Amp, CD Changer, Speakers, FUBA Antennae


  • The radio has catches on the side. These catches need to be pushed in (towards the center of the radio) before you can pull the radio out.

  • Make a couple of "tools" out of coat hanger wire. This pic shows one of the "tools" inserted, with radio pulled part way out.

  • Coat hanger wire tool in place, pushing the catches in. The catches are very lightly spring loaded and can be pushed in with very little force. Once both tools are pushed & the catches on both sides are disengaged, stick a finger into the radio's cassette ceck opening and pull the radio out.
